Job Description
Vetro are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a team on a temporary basis in a school in Cheshire. This role involves supporting a pupil within a bespoke Resource Provision for SEND students, specifically through British Sign Language (BSL). The successful candidate will work closely with the class team to provide tailored support in a vibrant educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant based in Cheshire, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting a pupil with special educational needs (SEN) within a dedicated resource classroom, using BSL to facilitate communication.
- Assisting with personalised learning plans and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff to promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Level 2 or Level 3 British Sign Language (BSL) qualification with relevant experience working with SEN pupils.
- Experience of working with children with special educational needs, particularly within a SEND setting.
- Enhanced DBS check and a strong understanding of deaf awareness and deafness.
