Job Description
Vetro are recruiting a Teaching Assistant - Level 1 to join a specialist secondary education setting on the Wirral, Merseyside. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with complex learning difficulties within a positive, supportive team environment.
You’ll play a key role in helping young people thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—while working closely with teachers and wider professionals.

Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant - Level 1, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting pupils’ learning and engagement in the classroom and across the school day
- Assisting with communication, behaviour support, and social development strategies
- Providing personal care support where required, in line with safeguarding and dignity standards
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant - Level 1, you will need:
- A genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Experience in a school/SEND setting (beneficial, but not essential as training is provided)
- Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to complete one)
